Upon approaching ResultSource, Ken Blanchard had two things going for him:
- He sold over 18 million copies of his books (including the One Minute Manager)
- He had a very successful training business selling big ticket training to major corporations
The next challenge was helping an emerging mass of individual consumers who wanted to launch their ideas as part of the entrepreneurial wave. To accomplish this Ken partnered with his co-author Don Hutson and wrote a parable about creating and sustaining a successful business.
Execution
ResultSource began a massive book launch campaign that included building out a B2C coaching product to draft behind the book. Kevin Small licensed the book’s content to a Provo, UT based coaching company and began an 18 month campaign that culminated in a 22 city book tour with the authors. As part of the campaign RSI coordinated the drop of 5.2 million emails that resulted in over 12,000 presales of the book driving it to #1 on Amazon. RSI coordinated all aspects of the campaign including a master agreement with EO, The Entrepreneur’s Organization, who hosted 15 of the events and drove members to hear Ken Blanchard deliver a powerful message (with a guaranteed book sale of course).
